The project aimed to redesign and enhance the UX of an existing platform. The client wanted to improve the user experience by streamlining campaign creation, optimizing performance tracking, and enhancing audience targeting.

The business goal was to optimize the platform’s efficiency, enabling marketers to launch and manage campaigns swiftly while delivering real-time insights and intelligent automation to enhance engagement and reduce ad spend inefficiencies.

Our role

Our role in this project was to lead the complete redesign and optimization of the marketing automation platform. We worked closely with the client to understand the existing product’s pain points and identify key areas for improvement. Through detailed UX analysis and market analysis, we identified key areas to enhance campaign creation, improve navigation, and introduce features like intelligent automation and real-time performance tracking.

Problems
The campaign creation process was complex, with too many steps and a confusing interface. This led to long setup times and increased the risk of errors, making it difficult for marketers to launch campaigns efficiently.
Solutions
We redesigned the process by introducing a simplified interface with smart templates, allowing marketers to quickly set up campaigns without unnecessary steps.
Problems
The performance tracking tools lacked real-time insights and were fragmented, making it hard for marketers to monitor campaigns in one place and make timely adjustments. This delay reduced their ability to optimize campaigns quickly.

Our competitor research and UX audit highlighted gaps in tracking capabilities. We addressed this by integrating real-time, actionable analytics into a customizable dashboard, enabling marketers to access critical data instantly and optimize campaigns on the fly.

Audience targeting was too basic, offering limited segmentation options. This made it harder for marketers to reach the right audience, resulting in less effective campaigns and wasted ad spend.

By examining industry trends through competitor analysis we expanded the targeting options to include more granular segmentation, such as location, device, and user interests, ensuring campaigns reached the right audience for maximum engagement and ROI.

Stage 1
Competitor analysis

We analyzed leading marketing platforms and tools, focusing on their features, user interfaces, and customer feedback. This included reviewing platforms like HubSpot, Mailchimp, and Google Ads, as well as identifying common pain points such as fragmented campaign management and lack of real-time data insights.

By evaluating their strengths and weaknesses, we pinpointed key opportunities to differentiate AdFlux, such as offering an all-in-one solution for multi-channel campaign management with advanced analytics and seamless integration. This informed our approach to developing a unique, user-friendly platform that addresses these gaps effectively.

Stage 2
User flow

We developed a comprehensive user flow for the entire product to gain a clear understanding of the user journey and uncover potential pain points. By mapping each step, from onboarding to campaign management, we were able to identify areas where users encountered friction or confusion. This allowed us to refine key processes, optimize interactions, and ensure a seamless, intuitive experience.

The detailed user flow provided critical insights that informed our redesign strategy, enabling us to create a more efficient, user-centered platform that aligns with both user needs and business goals.

Designing a сlean, intuitive experience for modern marketers

The design phase for AdFlux centered on creating a clean, intuitive interface that simplifies complex marketing workflows. From wireframes to final UI, every element was crafted to enhance usability and ensure a seamless experience for marketers. The sleek purple color scheme reinforces brand identity while maintaining a professional and modern look.

Our approach combined clear layouts, streamlined navigation, and visually engaging elements to deliver a platform that is both powerful and easy to use.

Stage 1
Wireframes

During the wireframing stage, we prioritized two key aspects to ensure a seamless user experience.

First, we structured the layout to balance functionality and clarity, defining the core navigation and user flows. This involved simplifying complex interactions, ensuring intuitive access to essential features, and minimizing friction in key actions like new campaign creation.

Second, we focused on content hierarchy and accessibility, making sure that critical information was always easily visible and actionable. By optimizing spacing, contrast, and element placement, we created a wireframe that laid the foundation for a user-friendly and efficient interface, ensuring smooth interactions across all devices.

Stage 2
Moodboard

We created two versions of the moodboard — one minimalist with a light color palette and subtle textures, and another with bolder colors and dynamic elements for a more energetic feel.

Client chose the minimalist version as it better aligned with the platform’s focus on simplicity, efficiency, and user-centered design, ensuring a clean, intuitive experience that reflected the platform’s professional and streamlined nature.

Stage 3
UI Design

During the UI design, we encountered several key challenges that required strategic solutions. One of the most important aspects of the project was working with MUI as the foundation for the design system. By leveraging MUI’s robust components and styling capabilities, we were able to create a scalable and adaptable system, ensuring consistency across the platform while also providing flexibility for future growth.

Another challenge involved indexing and accessibility issues related to detailed asset, campaign, and content information placed in the sidebar. Since this content did not load as a separate page, sharing direct links to specific items caused navigation and display problems. To address this, we added only main pages to the sidebar, without information about analytics or campaigns, ensuring a seamless experience for users accessing shared links while maintaining an intuitive and scalable structure.

Analytics overview

The Analytics Dashboard offers key insights into marketing performance, including overall statistics like expenses breakdown, performance (by assets, campaigns and data), active campaigns etc. It provides actionable tips for campaign improvement, detailed metrics such as impressions, clicks, and CTR, and highlights top-performing segments and content. This consolidated view helps users make data-driven decisions and optimize campaigns effectively.

With our Post Creation feature, you can draft content, customize it for each platform, and preview the final post before scheduling. We chose this tech stack for its performance, scalability, and ease of use. Vite ensures fast development, while React and TypeScript enable robust, maintainable code. React Router DOM provides smooth navigation, and MUI allows for a customizable, consistent UI. i18next supports localization, Tanstack Query optimizes data fetching, and Zustand simplifies state management.
